About Karen

I am an experienced tai chi and qigong teacher, mindfulness meditation facilitator, and registered clinical hypnotherapist.

During my many years of tai Chi and qigong training I have seen and felt the many positive effects of practising these wonderful, slow movements.

I have also experienced how hypnotherapy can help find alternatives ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.  And how it can help you become more accepting of yourself and others, promote personal development and unlock your inner potential.

Having attended mindfulness training (Working in the Present Moment - Integrating Mindfulness Practice with Psychological Therapy, Coaching & Other Relational Work) at the Metanoia Institute,  I now combine my knowledge of mindfulness, tai chi (which is sometimes called moving meditation), qigong and hypnotherapy to create my own unique style of mindfulness meditation.

I really enjoys the rewards of working with people that have on-going health issues which are proving difficult to treat.  And have had numerous successes, including helping people with Autism, Fibromyalgia, Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinsons, Peripheral Neuropathy, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, pain management, phobias, strokes, anxiety, stress and post surgery issues.

My aim is to pass on my knowledge and expertise to as many people as possible; regardless of their age, physical ability, religion, sexual orientation, gender or cultural identity.

Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.
Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
