What is Mindfulness Meditation?  

The demands of modern life can sometimes make us feel stressed and anxious.   

Meditation can help to create a deep sense of relaxation, and make our mind calmer, more peaceful.  It can help to create an inner space in which we can understand how our mind works and develop greater clarity of thinking; thus maintaining a balanced mind and improving our health and wellbeing.  

Mindfulness meditation helps us to pay attention, see more clearly what is going on in our lives and respond to issues in a calmer way, which is more beneficial to our heart, mind and body. 

The aim is to fully immerse yourself in the experience, without judging what is happening around you, so that you can perceive your thoughts, and handle your emotions, in a more balanced way.

Meditation and mindfulness techniques can help to:

  • Reduce stress levels 
  • Focus on the positive
  • Concentrate your mind
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Relieve even chronic pain
  • Improve your sleep and digestion
  • Be more present in our life and work
  • Elevate your mood and make you happier!

I have attended Mindfulness Training (Working in the Present Moment - Integrating Mindfulness Practice with Psychological Therapy, Coaching & Other Relational Work) at the Metanoia Institute.  I combine my knowledge of Mindfulness, Tai Chi (which is sometimes called Moving Meditation), Qigong and Hypnotherapy to create my own unique style of mindfulness meditation.
